HOW TO APPLY

Begin by opening the hood of your vehicle, the trunk and all doors.

Remove all trash, food wrappers and food debris. Remove the floor mats if applicable. If there are no signs of mice, such as droppings or urine stains or smells , then vacuum the seats and then the carpets. Be sure to vacuum under the seats. Vacumn and clean the glove box and center console area as well as other storage compartments. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING GLOVES,EYE PROTECTION AND A MASK.

HOOD AREA

With the hood open, you can see the underside of the hood. Usually there will be some sort of insulation attached to the hood. Mice love to build their nest in this warm cozy little area. Either remove the insulation or pull it down just enough to get streams of spray between the insulation and the hood. Make sure you spray enough Mouse Out! between the hood and the insulation. Next, using the mist setting, spray the entire surface of the engine until it is lightly wet. Be sure to get the surface of the battery and down each side. Next, spray the area behind the engine(firewall area). Next, spray the area on both sides of the engine. Next spray the strut mounts and strut towers. Now standing in front of the car, spray the top and front of the radiator. Also, spray the space in front of the radiator (radiator support) and the space below the radiator.

Identify the fuse box and spray the top of the fuse box lightly. Do not saturate.

ATTENTION

Most modern cars have wiring that contain a rubber insulation made of soy based vegetable ingredients. RODENTS LOVE TO EAT IT! Our Mouse Out! formula coats the wiring with powerful repellent ingredients. Rodents hate it! They run away and stay away! Identify and spray the wiring and rubber hoses around the engine compartment. Do Not over saturate the fuse box or wiring where terminals connect. Next identify the box that contains the engine air filter. Spray over and under this box. Open the box if you feel comfortable and spray inside. If the filter is dirty, then replace it with a new filter.

WHEEL WELLS

Wheel wells are the area where your tires are located. Mice often use this front tire area to climb up your tires and strut towers and gain access to the engine compartment and various locations of your car.

Spray this entire area around your tires ( the plastic lining above your tires and around the underside of your fenders). Turn your wheels left and spray behind both front tires from this angle. Then turn the wheel right and spray behind the tires from this angle too. Spray the back wheel wells too. Next, spray the shock towers. If you look behind your tires, they are the long cylinder tubes surrounded by a very large spring that leads up to the engine area. At night, rodents climb up your tires and then your struts to get into your engine compartment. Then, they have access to all that delicious wiring! TIP: after you park for the night, spray the area around your front and rear tires to deter rodents before they even start climbing.

SPARE TIRE AREA

Next, if your spare tire is located inside of the trunk area, remove the spare tire and spray all around the storage area.Reinstall the spare and spray the top of it. Spray the entire trunk and storage area. If you can’t remove the spare tire, then just spray around and under it from various angles.Next, with the doors open, spray inside the door jambs, especially where the hinges connect with the body.

INTERIOR

Mice have a phenomenal sense of smell. Food, crumbs and food wrappers are like beacons in the night. Best success practice is to remove all trash, food wrappers and debris. Next remove any floor mats and vacuum the seats and carpet. Be sure to vacuum under the seats too. Open the glove box and remove all contents. Vacuum inside thoroughly. Open other storage compartments and vacuum and clean.

Now that the interior is clean of debris you can begin using Mouse Out !  Spray under the seats, inside the glove box and other storage compartments. If possible, spray behind and underneath the glove box. Spray  underneath the dash and pedal area. You should wear gloves, mask and eye protection in these close-in areas. Now that Mouse Out! has been applied it will start working immediately. We recommend closing the doors and all windows right after you finish applying Mouse Out!. That way, you'll get the strongest concentration. You can help its effectiveness by keeping food wrappers and food debris out of your car. Close windows completely at night. Turn your car vent setting to “closed” or “recirculate” when parking for the night.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

MICE LOVE TO EAT THE WIRING OF MODERN CARS. THE WIRING OF MANY CARS ARE INSULATED WITH A SOY BASED RUBBER COATING.

EXAMINE AND PAY ATTENTION TO VARIOUS WIRING IN THE ENGINE AND HOOD AREA OF YOUR CAR.

BE SURE TO ENTIRELY SPRAY THESE WIRES WHERE EVER POSSIBLE. LET DRY AND SPRAY AGAIN TO INSURE A GOOD COATING. After a few days, re-spray the wiring again.

MOUSE OUT! Is a very potent mouse deterrent.

If you have lots of mice, you should reapply Mouse Out! after a few days. Then touch up every few weeks. It will keep the mice away and keep your car smelling fresh.

Hantavirus Alert

Visually inspect the interior of your car before cleaning or vacuuming. If you see signs of mouse contamination, such as mouse droppings or urine stains or you smell urine, then you should put on a mask, gloves and eye protection.

Approximately 25% of rodents carry Hantavirus ! It is transmitted through their droppings and urine and is an airborne virus. If you stir up their droppings or urine debris by sweeping or vacuuming before disinfecting then you could possibly become contaminated thru inhalation.

We suggest the following preventative procedures and safe practices. You should also refer to the CDC guidelines to safely remove their droppings and urine stains and any food products they have had contact with.

If your vehicle contains droppings, urine stain or smells, then we recommend a disinfectant spray that kills viruses before removing dropping or rodent nest. Diluted bleach, Lysol etc. are very good disinfectants. Wear gloves, eye protection, long sleeve shirt and a mask. Spray these areas where you see rodent feces and urine stains. Spray it directly on the droppings and stains. Let the disinfectant sit for at least 5 minutes to kill the virus and before removing any of the debris. To prevent staining, test these disinfectants on a small unseen area before spraying visible areas.

Hantavirus is very serious and can be deadly. Please use caution when removing dead rodents, their nest and debris.
